Dr. Budhendranauth Doobay is a highly respected cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, spiritual leader and Community advocate based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. As the founder of Vishnu Mandir, one of Canada's first Hindu temples, he has been instrumental in promoting interfaith dialogue and cultural preservation. Dr. Doobay's philanthropic efforts include establishing the Doobay Medical and Research Centre in Guyana, that provides free dialysis treatment to underserved communities. His contributions to medicine and community service have been recognized with honors such as the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario. In his role with CNCH, Dr. Doobay continues to advocate for the rights of Hindu Canadians, drawing on his extensive experience in community leadership
