Ramesh Chotai is the President of Bromed Pharmaceuticals, a global healthcare company that he built after immigrating to Canada in 1972. Trained as a pharmacist in the UK and Switzerland, he began his journey in Oshawa and grew Bromed into a multi-million dollar enterprise and a leader in pharmaceutical technology. He is also a co-founder and former Chair of Canada India Foundation (2009–2011). Mr. Chotai has championed Canada–India ties through key initiatives like the Canada India Energy Forum and Healthcare Summit. A dedicated philanthropist and community leader, he has held leadership roles in several cultural and religious organizations and received multiple awards. In 2001, he played a key role in raising $1.6 million for Gujarat earthquake relief, leading to the construction of over 800 homes and dozens of schools and clinics through a CIDA partnership.
